An organized and logical study of the use of undefined terms, definitions, postulates, and theorems. This class will be an in-depth study of concepts of geometry. |

Students will complete a research paper using the MLA (Modern Language Association) format. This will include choosing a topic, forming a thesis statement, researching the topic, creating an outline, and writing a research paper using in-text citation. Students will also analyze four literary works covering various genres including English and American literature, an epic poem, and historical fiction. Vocabulary building exercises are included during the entire class but spelling and grammar are not on academic focus. |

Students will develop a firm foundation of government through a study of the Constitution and other founding documents, federalism, and government at the national, state and local levels. Students will also stage a mock trial and a mock election. |

This class will emphasize adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing integers, solving two step equations, fractions, percents, slope and the use of skills to solve problems. Geometry themes and graphing will be introduced as time permits |
