Grace Academy Athletics began as a dream in the fall of 2000 with the soccer program. From this small beginning, Grace today offers for middle school through high school students 12 teams to participate to the Glory of God.
The Vision and Philosophy of Grace Academy Athletics:
- To glorify God through all the gifts of athletics He has given to us.
- To grow more in the character of Christ, since athletics is a microcosm of real life.
- For young people to find enjoyment in athletic competition and by being able to try various sports and develop their skills.
- To help young men and women who have a desire and ability to play at the college level and encourage them in the process.
- To use Grace Athletics as an opportunity to share Christ and His love with our community and throughout the world.

Athletic Eligibility
Student Athletics must attend at least two classes at Grace. Athletic Policies and Expectations are outlined in the Athletics Handbook. Forms needed in order to participate must be filled out and returned to the Team Coach before tryouts in order to participate.

We are currently registering students for 2010-11 School Year. Class Schedule and registration information can be found under Admissions. Be sure to register early and save!
Online Courses

Engrade
We are excited to provide you with student grades online for 4th - 12th grades. Sign up information was distributed with Progress Reports.
Common Ground
Common Ground is a Bible Study for 7th - 12th Grade students that meets on Thursdays. The next meeting will be 3/18 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 855 Sam Newell Road, Suite 100 (near the Crews Center & Crestdale Middle School).
Art Show
Mark your calendars now! The Art Show is scheduled for 3/18. It will be a wonderful night of Grace student artwork displays.
Drama Performances
Mark your calendars now! Our drama students will be performing at the Matthews Community Center 3/19 and 3/26 at 7:00 p.m.
Information Meeting
If you know of anyone interested in attending Grace Academy for fall 2010, there will be an Information Meeting Thurs., 3/25 @ 7:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Matthews.
Science Fair
Grace will be holding a Science Fair on Tues., 3/30. Students in grades 4th - 12th are eligible to participate. For more information, please contact your Science Teacher or email the coordinator at davis@graceacademync.com.
Nicaragua Missions Trip
Grace will lead a group of students on a missions trip to Nicaragua 6/9 - 6/15. If you are interested, contact us at gracemissions @graceacademync.com. The cost of the trip is $1,390. The deposit of $200 to confirm your spot is due 4/29.
