Grace to Walk & 5K Run for Healthy Families and Communities
Grace Academy is very excited about our first Walk/5K Run. This event will be Saturday, April 21. The starting line will be at the Grace Center! The Athletics Booster Club is sponsoring a BBQ to benefit "A Place for Grace" building fund and to kick off the Grace to Run/Walk end of school year celebration!
The BBQ kick off will be held at the new Grace Center on Thursday, March 8. Serving times will be 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. for take-out or dine in. Lunch delivery to businesses within a five-mile radius will be available. (Purchase of five or more plates is required.) Pre-orders are strongly encouraged and will begin the first week of February. Plates consist of BBQ pork, bun, baked beans, slaw, pickle, and dessert. Drinks are included for dine-in only. Pork by the pound will also be available for pre-order only. Plates cost $8 for adults and $6 for child. Entertainment by Grace students will be provided during lunch and dinner hours.
In addition to the BBQ, each grade will organize an "Out of the Basket Experience" themed raffle give-away. A grade parent will be contacting each student's family with more details on how to get involved and help contribute to your child's "basket". Raffle tickets are $1 each. Discounts for greater quantities and incentives for pre-orders will be available. Themed "baskets" include Reading/Books; Family Games; Gardening; Chef/Cooking; Beauty/Spa; Sports; Entertainment/Movies; Vacation/Travel; Camping; and Restaurants/Dining. You will not want to miss a chance at winning one of these incredible packages!
More details will be published in the weekly Grace e-mail newsletter. We need many volunteers for this BBQ to be a success. If you would like to become involved or have questions or suggestions, please e-mail:
