Dear Grace Families,
Here are a few things that we wanted you to know about:
Mandatory Testing
North Carolina requires that all of our students, with the exception of seniors, take a standardized test. Grace Academy teachers will administer the tests. Your student must test on the date assigned. Please call the office at 704.845.1767 to confirm you received this information and the date your student will be testing. You may also reply to: alee@graceacademync.com Please list your student name and grade.
If your student's last name begins with letters N-Z, they will be testing Friday, March 12th from 9:00-12:30.
Testing will begin at 9:00 am sharp! Students need to be dropped off no later than 8:45. If a student arrives late they will not be able to test. Please send a healthy snack and two #2 pencils with your student.
Nicaragua Missions Trip
Come with us this summer from Wednesday, June 9th through Tuesday, June 15th for a Great Commission Missions Adventure to the nation of Nicaragua. "Jesus Said to 'Go' and make disciples of nations." Matthew 28:19
This will be a chance for you to serve and minister in one of the most beautiful parts of God's creation, but also the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.
Grace has great partnerships with great pastors and churches in Managua, the country's capitol, and Matagalpa, which is located towards the mountains.
You will be involved with ministering to the poor in this country through the local churches as well as evangelistic outreaches in the community through athletics, music, and just simple service.
COST:$1390 Includes:
- Airfare
- Hotel Accommodations
- Breakfast and Dinner
You will need to bring $5/day for lunch and spending money. A missions application and non-refundable deposit of $200 is due by April 29th. The remaining balance MUST be paid in full by May26th.
ITINERARY:
Wednesday, June 9: Travel to Managua (The Capitol)
Thursday, June 10: Ministry in Managua
Friday, June 11: Ministry in Managua
Saturday, June 12: Head to Matagalpa/Ministry
Sunday, June 13: Church Service and Ministry/Head to San Juan Del Sur in the afternoon
Monday, June 14: San Juan Del Sur/back to Managua that evening
Tuesday, June 15: Depart back to the U.S. from Managua

Progress Reports
Progress reports can be picked up by students, Monday, March 8th in the office.
2010-11 Registration Now Open
Registration for 2010-11 began February 1st. Classes and registration information can be found under Admissions on our website.You should have received a registration packet in the mail. If you need extra copies please come by the office. Be sure to register by May 1st and save!
Engrade
Grace Academy is very excited to be using Engrade on-line grading system. Engrade allows our teachers to post your student's grades on each assignment. Engrade is used for 4th-12th grade only. When your student picks up their progress report, they will also receive a envelope with directions on how to sign on to Engrade and check your student's grades. We strongly encourage you to use Engrade, it is a wonderful useful tool to check your student's progress!
Art Show
Please join us Thursday, March 18 at 7:00 PM in the Family Life Center for an amazing display of student art, photography, fashion and design. Be sure to stay for the runway show at 8:00. We hope to see you there! Please support the arts!
Science Fair
We are so excited about our First Annual Science Fair, Tuesday, March 30th at 7:00 pm. There will be individual awards given on each grade level plus overall awards! Common Ground
Common Ground is an exciting, relevant Bible study for 7th - 12th grade students hosted by Gracesprings Church and Grace Academy. We want to invite you to come out and connect with us on Thursday nights, 7:00 - 8:00 PM, as we deal with the tough questions and seek to build a real relationship with God. Attention all Middle Schoolers
The Whitewater Rafting trip scheduled for March 16th has been postponed until April 30th. This trip is going to be awesome! So mark your calendars now and plan to be there! The cost of the trip will be $49. So what will you get for your money? Unlimited access to family and adventure rafting, climbing (guided climbs only), climb 2 zip, biking, flatwater kayaking, eco trekking and mega zip.
