Office Hours for Summer
Our summer hours are M-Th from 9:00 am-3:00 pm.

Mrs. Chrissy Lambert, a parent to one of our students and wife of a CMPD Officer is organizing #backtheblue, which is a public awareness campaign designed and dedicated to displaying public support for law enforcement. Below is how you can get involved!
- Donate items from the list at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0445a4af29a4fa7-backtheblue and drop off at Grace Academy.
- Come assist us this Sunday, July 31st at 1 pm at Grace Academy to make sandwiches that will be handed out to feed the homeless in honor of our fallen police that gave the ultimate sacrifice and to unify our community.
- Come assist us this Sunday, July 31st at 2 pm at Grace Academy in making treat bags for the officers.
- Meet us uptown to hand out lunches (schedule to be released on Saturday- contact Chrissy).
- Pray for the officers.

Mel’s Diner August Volunteer Date!
Saturday, August 6th is the next date to help volunteer with Mel’s Diner! Join us by serving as “Volunteers Feeding the Hungry for Free”. Volunteering will consist of prepping, heating meals, loading trucks and delivering to the needy people in struggling areas throughout Charlotte.
Please plan to bring one or more 9×12 casserole dishes and even trays of hot dogs! Salads and fresh fruit are high on the list! Would you like to volunteer? (children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent)
Time: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm (no later than 2 pm)

We need to give Mel’s a count, so if you would like to volunteer, please rsvp by Thursday, August 4th with how many are volunteering in your party and what you plan to bring to Alely Lee: email@example.com
It’s not too late to sign up for an online course. If you are a self-motivated student with access to the internet, go to the Grace Academy website and click on “Grace Online” to see the courses we offer. Online courses will begin on September 6th and last the entire school year. Online courses can be done any time of day. Any questions, contact us at 704-234-0292.
Order required textbooks before August 1st so your child will be ready for the 1st day of school!
Annual Book Fair
For those students taking 6-8 Novel Studies and 9-12 English classes, the annual book fair at Barnes and Nobles will be at the Arboretum on August 19th-21st. The online book fair with Barnes and Nobles will be on August 19th-26th. All novels must be purchased from Barnes and Nobles so that every student has the same edition. This makes it consistent for the teacher when asking students to refer to a page number for certain content from the novels. More information will be given during family orientation on August 18th.
Used Book Sale
The “Book Store” is now open through August 18. Parents/students are responsible for purchasing textbooks for classes. The book store is a way for our current and new families to make buying/selling books easier! Please see the course descriptions on our website for needed textbooks. If you have Grace Academy used books that you would like to sell to other Grace families, please complete the following steps:
Check the book list on our website to make sure the book you own is still being used for next school years classes. Label EACH book on the spine with the name of the class it was used for, including grade level, how much you are selling it for and who to make the check payable to. Drop off your books anytime M-Th from 9:00 am-3:00 pm and place in the K-5 cubbie area on the grade level and subject-specific shelves. We will contact you once you have sold a book and have checks to be picked up.
Example: 6-8 Spanish I, cost of book, your name
If you have books to buy, come shop, write an individual check for each book purchased. No cash or credit cards please. All checks must be made out directly to the seller. Checks should be dropped off at the welcome desk.
Only Grace Academy books can be bought or sold, no other books please.
It is that time of year again! Volleyball for Grace Academy is starting. Tryouts will be August 1st through the 3rd from 10am-12pm at Shilo Gym in Monroe. Please be at the gym by 9:30 am for check in. Practice and regular season will begin the following week of August 8th. If you have any questions or have not received the volleyball email, please contact Breanna Waters at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Boys Soccer is ready to gear up this summer. Soccer season started July 25th for Varsity and Middle school boys. If you are interested and want more information, please contact Mr. Silva at email@example.com.
Grace Academy Athletics is bringing back the hoops for girls basketball this year. If you are interested in joining the team and want more information, please contact Coach Sanders at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Grace Academy is filling up a Cross Country roster fast. We would love to have a full girls and boys Cross Country team. If you are interested in joining the team, please contact Matt Daniel at email@example.com.
